The Tmr Zoo – Men’s Entertainment. Devolved!

If you came here looking for another the Philly fans are at it again article, youve come to the wrong place. Why? Because you are reading an article written by someone who was born and bred within the City of Brotherly Loves limits. Im certainly not going to defend Matthew Clemmens, his acts were indefensible. What he did had nothing to do with being a fan of any Philadelphia sports team, it was an individual act committed by a walking, talking and breathing piece of human garbage.

This past Wednesday night, as the Philadelphia Phillies were hosting the Washington Nationals, Michael Vangelo, an Easton, PA Police Captain, took his two daughters for a night out to enjoy a baseball game. Unfortunately, as it sometimes happens, a pair of drunken losers were sitting behind them. As the game progressed and the pair became increasingly more rowdy and drunk, Vangelo reported them and one of them was escorted out. In retaliation for having the guy he shared a brain with ejected from the stadium, Clemens stuck his finger down his throat and tried to vomit on the Vangelo family. There are varying reports as to how successful he was, but it doesnt make the act any less despicable.

Vangelo, and a large group of other Philly Fans in the area, held the piece of garbage down until the police could arrive. Clemens was arrested and charged with 15 counts of different offenses, including resisting arrest. It is unknown exactly how or where he received the black eye you see in his mug shot.

Now comes the easy part ESPN and all of the other national sports and regular media outlets can roll out their standard The Philly Fans are At it Again headline and just plug in the new name and offense. Theyll mention the standard throwing snowballs at Santa Claus and probably roll out something more recent like the booing of Donovan McNabb on draft day.

Give it a rest guys. This was an event that could have happened anywhere and if it did, would never be reported because too much work would be involved for reporters and columnists throughout the country. Theyd actually have to put some effort into the story, and time and effort seem to be at a premium these days in the media.

Im sure in each story written it will never mentioned that it was a pack of fellow Philly fans being vigilant and taking down the fat slob.

I do have a personal message for Mr. Matthew Clemens. You are pretty lucky you werent sitting behind me and my family that night. If you tried to vomit on my son or daughter it would be an ambulance, or a hearse, taking you out of the stadium and not the police. And that is coming from a guy who, based on your lovely mug shot, probably weighs 100 to 150 pounds less than you.

Hes also lucky he didnt do it at an Eagles game those fans would have been much more vigilant.

Go Phils!

Newsdaily: Goldman Sachs Charged With Fraud By Sec

Goldman Sachs charged with fraud by SEC

NEW YORK, Apr. 16, 2010 (Reuters) Goldman Sachs Group Inc was charged with fraud by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission over its marketing of a subprime mortgage product, igniting a battle between Wall Street's most powerful bank and the nation's top securities regulator.

The civil lawsuit is the biggest crisis in years for a company that faced criticism over its pay and business practices after emerging from the global financial meltdown as Wall Street's most influential bank.

It may also make it more difficult for the industry to beat back calls for reform as lawmakers in Washington debate an overhaul of financial regulations.

Goldman called the lawsuit "completely unfounded," adding, "We did not structure a portfolio that was designed to lose money."

The lawsuit puts Goldman Chief Executive Lloyd Blankfein further on the defensive after he told the federal Financial Crisis Inquiry Commission in January that the bank packaged complex debt, while also betting against the debt, because clients had the appetite.

"We are not a fiduciary," he said.

The case also involves John Paulson, a hedge fund investor whose firm Paulson & Co made billions of dollars by betting the nation's housing market would crash. This included an estimated $1 billion from the transaction detailed in the lawsuit, which the SEC said cost other investors more than $1 billion. Paulson was not charged.

Fabrice Tourre, a Goldman vice president whom the SEC said was mainly responsible for creating the questionable mortgage product, known as ABACUS, was charged with fraud.

Goldman shares slid 12.8 percent on Friday, closing down $23.57 at $160.70 on the New York Stock Exchange. The decline wiped out more than $12 billion of market value, and trading volume topped 100 million shares, Reuters data show.

The news dragged down broad U.S. equity indexes, which fell more than 1 percent. The perceived risk of owning Goldman debt, as measured by credit default swaps, increased. Treasury prices rose as investors sought safe-haven government debt.

MORE SEVERE THAN EXPECTED

"These charges are far more severe than anyone had imagined," and suggest Goldman teamed with "the leading short-seller in the industry to design a portfolio of securities that would crash," said John Coffee, a securities law professor at Columbia Law School in New York.

"The greatest penalty for Goldman is not the financial damages -- Goldman is enormously wealthy -- but the reputational damage," he said, adding that "it's not impossible" to contemplate that the case could lead to criminal charges. Coffee spoke on Reuters Insider.

Goldman vowed to defend itself.

"The SEC's charges are completely unfounded in law and fact," it said. "We will vigorously contest them and defend the firm and its reputation."

The SEC lawsuit concerns ABACUS, a synthetic collateralized debt obligation that hinged on the performance of subprime residential mortgage-backed securities, and which the regulator said Goldman structured and marketed.

According to the SEC, Goldman did not tell investors "vital information" about ABACUS, including that Paulson & Co was involved in choosing which securities would be part of the portfolio.

The SEC also alleged that Paulson took a short position against the CDO in a bet that its value would fall.

In a statement, Paulson & Co said it did buy credit protection from Goldman on securities issued in the ABACUS program, but did not market the product.

Tourre was not immediately available for comment.

Goldman had not disclosed that the SEC was considering a lawsuit but had known charges were possible and had urged the SEC not to file them, people familiar with the situation said on Friday. The sources requested anonymity because the probe was not public.

To better understand CDOs, the SEC in 2008 approached some hedge funds, including Paulson & Co, whose investment Paulo Pellegrini was among those to talk with the regulator.

COMING OUT SWINGING

The lawsuit is a regulatory and public relations nightmare for Blankfein, who has spent 18 months fending off complaints that Goldman has been an unfair beneficiary of taxpayer bailouts of Wall Street.

Blankfein became chief executive less than a year before the product challenged by the SEC was created.

"This could be the beginning of a period where you have a regulatory cloud over Goldman Sachs, and perhaps even the entire investment banking industry," said Hank Smith, chief investment officer at Haverford Trust Co in Philadelphia.

John Paulson is not related to Henry "Hank" Paulson, who was Blankfein's predecessor as Goldman chief executive and later become U.S. Treasury secretary.

The SEC lawsuit represents an aggressive expansion of regulatory efforts to hold people and companies responsible for the nation's financial crises.

It could help the regulator rehabilitate its reputation after missing other high-profile cases, including Bernard Madoff's Ponzi scheme.

"The SEC has come out swinging," said Cary Leahey, senior managing director of Decision Economics in New York.

Robert Khuzami, head of the SEC's enforcement division, said John Paulson was not charged because it was Goldman that made misrepresentations to investors, not Paulson.

Still, Khuzami called Paulson's firm "a hedge fund that had a particular interest in the securities performing poorly."

Philadunkia Review: No Crossover: The Trial Of Allen Iverson

As part of ESPNs 30 For 30 documentary series which celebrates the 30th Anniversary of ESPN, director Steve James was given the opportunity to tell yet another story of life and basketball. James first film Hoop Dreams is considered to be one of the greatest sports documentaries of all time. As you may recall, Hoops Dreams is the gripping story of William Gates and Arthur Agee who follow their dream to become an NBA player through their inner-city struggles. ESPNsNo Crossover: The Trial of Allen Iverson is yet another documentary by Steve James that captivates an audience while also bringing to light a racial issue that made worldwide news in 1993.

In the early 1990s, Allen Iverson was atop the high school sports platform. He stood out on both the football field and basketball court for Bethel High School, leading them to state championships in each sport. On February 14th, 1993 however a terrifying incident changed Allens life and he may never have recovered. Allen was involved in an altercation with white teenagers at a bowling alley in Hampton, Virginia where he allegedly hit a woman with a chair leaving her bleeding on the floor. The incident created a rise in racial tension throughout the Virginia Peninsula, and even 17 years after the trial, there is still a racial divide that separates the area.

I went to the Philadelphia premiere of the documentary at the Prince Music Theater Sunday night

and was pleasantly surprised with the film. From watching the documentary, it seemed to me that James was trying to open a door that was best left shut to the people of Hampton and Newport News, Virginia. Producer Emily Hart answered questions after the screening and had this to say about the interview process, It was frustrating. There were plenty of unanswered phone-calls, said Hart. There were parts of the story that we certainly wouldve liked to have heard, but in some ways it spoke volumes about the situation back in 1993 and how far weve come or havent come with either the fact that people didnt want to revisit it or that they were really afraid that it would effect their names now or their jobs.

One of those people choosing not to revisit the events of February 14th, 1993 was Allen Iverson. From what Hart knows, she doesnt even think Iverson has watched the documentary yet. To me this just adds to the Iverson mystery and to the documentary overall. Throughout the documentary the picture of Iverson is painted by the people who knew him and taught him. His old AAU coach Boo Williams, his former neighbors in Hampton, his former attorney, and many journalists from around the area. There is also a lot of footage of Iverson throughout the movie that many people may not have seen before. Without as many interviews as he would have liked, James displays a brave documentary that will make you think about life and equality. This is as much a documentary about hope asit is a documentary on Iverson. It is a hope that one day class and race differences will cease and work together for a better cause.

We had weekend screenings in the Hampton area where Iverson is from and the reactions were very positive, said Hart. There were interesting discussions after the film which focused mainly on what people can do as a community to change the current state of things and not necessarily on the trial back in 1993.

For the citizens in Hampton, this movie is a wake up call. Instead of pulling the area apart, this movie should be the first step to bring people together. Sports are one medium that was always present in the life of Steve James and one that is present in the lives of most citizens in Hampton. Jamess hope is that this small effort will change the larger picture for not only Hampton, but the citizens of the United States who experience the same struggle.

Overall I would rate the documentary an A-. Its not James fault the documentary didnt score higher with me, but I felt with more interviews from the likes of Allen Iverson, Ann Iverson, John Thompson, or whites who were involved in the bowling alley incident, this documentary could have been that much better. I applaud the effort which James gave to the issue, and ESPN should be very proudof the finished product. I would recommend any sports fan / Iverson fan take the time to go see this movie or watch on TV. The documentary will air on ESPN at 8 PM tonight.

Dillon Baxter Future Nfl Star To Watch At Usc Football : Nfl Draft.

Dillon Baxter future NFL star to watch at USC Football : NFL Draft

Dillon Baxter future NFL star to watch at USC Football : NFL Draft Dillon Baxters a name youve never heard of until now. The USC freshman and former Mission Bay High quarterback has the Internet abuzz with his play at USCs spring intersquad scrimmage, putting on what the LA Times called a show and getting the attention of NFL scouts four years (OK, perhaps three years) before hes eligible for the NFL Draft.

Dillon Baxters 50-yard run has a USC observers mentioning him in the same name as Heisman Trophy winners Reggie Bush and Marcus Allen. In the video below, the 6-foot 199 pound Dillons run happens at the 51 second mark:

Dillon Baxters run is not funny; Baxters stupid fast. In fact, Baxter may be faster than Reggie Bush was at USC; thats just by observation. Cal Football fans Dillon Baxter must be stopped.

Aside from Dillon Baxters play, the video also has Junior Defensive Tackle DaJohn Harris rob of the ball (not really a strip as he just took it from him) from quarterback Mitch Mustain and ran 52 yards before Mustain tackled him at the 4-yard-line.

But something the Internet isnt buzzing about, but should be, is USC Head Coack Lane Kiffins use of a no-back, five-wide receiver formation, and a five-step drop. Lanes bring in a new and more aggressive offensive attack than when Pete Carroll was the USC coach.
