Shannen Doherty On Dwts Elimination: it’s Fate
9021-oh, no! Shannen Doherty was eliminated from Dancing With the Stars on Tuesday night. And making the ouster even worse was the fact that her partner, Mark Ballas, had a season-ending knee injury that would have meant he couldnt have continued dancing with Shannen anyway.
Shannen wiped away tears after the show. But she put on a brave face for OK!, saying, Its fate. Im feeling okay about it. I think the most upsetting part is not being able to spend the time with Mark. Now Marks injured and I get to play nursemaid, I guess.

The hit reality shows first elimination of the season was dramatic, as Shannen and Pamela Anderson wound up the surprising bottom two. Both of the Hollywood bad girls had performed well on Monday night, with Pam channeling Marilyn Monroe for her foxtrot for a total of 43 with pro Damian Whitewood. And Shannen and Mark earned a score of 20 for their jive. Combined with last weeks 18, they got a cumulative score of 38 for the two weeks.

While others, including Kate Gosselin and Buzz Aldrin, had scored lower than the TV actresses, voting means everything and Shannen and Pam faced the red elimination night lights on Tuesday.
After Shannen got the boot, Mark informed viewers that he had injured his knee in rehearsal and an MRI revealed he would have to be out for six weeks. Producers planned to replace Mark with his dancer dad Corky Ballas (well known for his DWTS season with Cloris Leachman) for Shannens duration on the show, but her vote off made that unnecessary.

Im emotional but its a little bit of relief mixed with sadness to be leaving Mark, Shannen said of her loyal partner.
Although many DWTS celebrities lose weight, in her month of rehearsing and doing the show, Shannen told OK! that wasnt the case for her.

I gained weight. Mark says its all muscle, she said. The truth is, if the dancing has changed my body, I should just go dance with Marks family.

But Evan Lysaceks dance partner, Anna Trebunskaya, revealed that it had to hurt him today because he was on crutches.
Meanwhile, Kate, whom many expected to leave because of her disastrous jive performance on Monday night with partner Toni Dovolani, seemed more relieved than anyone else backstage.

It was sheer terror, Kate confided to OK! about going through her first elimination show.
Its so nerve wracking. I was so convinced it was going to be us, Toni confirmed. She kept asking me, Is it us? Is it us? I was like, I dont actually know!
Kate said, I was walking around thinking all the other cast members were like, Yep, I know its her. I didnt want it to be me. Its a mental game.

Judge Len Goodman told the cast that next week, the performers have to tell a story through their dance. The song that they gave us has a really cool meaning to Kate. [Expect] a lot of interesting drama, Toni said.
Although the show televised their rehearsal tiff Monday night, Kate and Toni seemed to be getting along fine backstage on Tuesday.

The other dancers also looked forward to next week. Ice skater Evan said that theyll perform the quickstep.
Show standout Nicole Scherzinger, partner Derek Hough by her side, said, I think its going to be a fun challenge for us to tell a story through the dance.
And Cheryl Burkes partner, Chad Ochocinco told OK! With football, theres a little bit of cockiness and arrogance that comes. Ive got to get it out here. I dont know when that dance bug is going to click in.
Next week, Chad will dance the Paso Doble, and he joked, I might be nude, with one huge tassel, like Tarzan.

News – Lindsay Lohan’s Dad Gets Engaged To Jon Gosselin’s Ex.
Michael Lohan has popped the question to Jon Gosselin's ex, Kate Major.
"She's been there for five years with me. I think a friendship is more important than anything when you have a relationship, and this is the strongest one in my life," Lohan, 49, tells UsMagazine.com.

Lohan says he was waiting for the "situation with Lindsay to resolve" before announcing the engagement. He has been encouraging his troubled daughter to enter rehab.
"[Two weeks ago], I went down to Florida with Kate to visit her dad. I was in a hot tub with her dad at their house, and I said, 'There's something we have to talk about.' He said, 'Oh my God, don't tell me Kate's pregnant!'" Lohan jokes. "I told him I was looking at the future, and I wanted to make it formal and take it to the next level. After that, he approved, then Kate and I discussed it and she discussed it with her dad."

While Major, 27, isn't expecting now, she and Lohan do eventually plan to have children. "That's one of the things I spoke to her dad about. I'm not getting any younger and Kate wants to have children," Lohan says.
Of the engagement, Major tells Us, "I'm really happy."
She's already started planning.
"I have talked to some of the bridesmaids and we have discussed having the wedding later this year. It's going to be at Oheka Castle in New York. But right now, I'm just enjoying being engaged... We're really excited!"
Plus, Major tells Us, "The ring is gorgeous!"

The late night comic dons Kate drag to reenact her super bitch disaster from Mondays DWTS.
The house band began playing Lady Gagas Paparazzi while Fallon put on a long blond ponytail and a red and black top similar to what Kate wore on Monday night. Its pretty damn funny. We admit that she knows the steps better than she did last week but she still has NO personality.

Kate Gosselin fought off the paparazzi during her paso doble on Mondays Dancing with the Stars, but it may not have been a fierce enough effort to keep her on ABCs popular dancing show.
Although Kate threw some dramatic punches at pro dancer partner Toni Dovolani, who was dressed as a paparazzi for their story-telling performance to Lady Gagas song, Paparazzi, they paled to the punches thrown at her by the shows judges.
That was strange, said judge Carrie Ann Inaba, who up until this week was the one judge with encouraging words for Kate. Im happy for you because dance is a way to channel your emotions. But that was hard to watch.
Kate looked wounded after judge Bruno Toniolos comments: For once you played the character -- the super bitch from hell. But that has to translate into dancing. You looked like you were walking.
Tony worked hard with Kate during practices, hoping to get her to put her feelings into the dance. He even brought in an acting coach to draw out some of Kates emotions.
I see all kinds of stuff inside and you are afraid to let it out, the coach told Kate.
The recently divorced mother of eight told the acting coach it was hard to let down her guard -- to remove the mask she wears for her kids in the face of adversity. I hide behind my masked face. To suddenly change gears is nearly impossible for me, she said.
Yet,Kate maintained an angry look throughout her performance, with make-up that accentuated the anger, but she looked robotic in her moves.
Kates lacking something an acting coach cant give her. She has no dance in her steps no musicality, as DWTS judges call it. What comes naturally to celebrities like Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger and Olympic skater Evan Lysacek, is foreign to Kate. Its like the music doesnt communicate with her body.
To help Kate let loose, perhaps Tony needs to try what Maksim Chmerkovskiy did with partner Erin Andrews -- a blindfold.
Yet, somehow I doubt Kates ready for that kind of trust in another person.
Even Erin admits to having issues with trust. Yet her courageous performance -- yes, it took courage for a dancing newbie to trust her partner enough to dance with a blindfold in front of millions of viewers -- put her in second place on the leader board, tied with former top dancer Nicole Scherzinger.
Nicole, who got the first tens of the season from judges last week, was knocked out of first place by Olympic gold medal figure skater Evan, who danced with two broken toes.
Kate once again was second from the bottom of the leader board, outscoring 80-year-old astronaut Buzz Aldrin by only two points.
Last week, Kates fans voted her through to Week 3. Will their votes be enough to advance her again?
